No other use of the plans is authorized or permitted.

And ours, we expressly discourage any inappropriate or illegal use of our building plans and to help protect your rights as the legal owner of a Badger Brothers Construction License, our copyright notice appears on all of our drawings. It is a reminder to all, that as a purchaser of a Badger Brothers Homes of Natural Distinction™, that you have specific legal rights that need to be protected.

F.Y.I.: Basic Copyright Facts to Remember

Every Badger Brothers Design & Plan is registered with the U.S. Copyright Office. 

When you purchase your Badger Brothers Homes of Natural Distinction™, you receive a valid construction license specifically for building a Badger Brothers provided building. You have the right to modify the construction plans as needed, in connection with the construction of your Badger Brothers project. 

If you make modifications to a Badger Brothers plan, including the concept drawings and illustrations, the rights of the use of the modified plan are still governed by Badger Brothers as the owner of the copyright on the original home plan. No matter how extensive the changes are, a modified plan is considered a derivative work and the claim to copyright remains with Badger Brothers. 

Redrawing and / or constructing a home that utilizes design elements, either in whole or in part, based on a copyrighted Badger Brothers design, without first obtaining a Badger Brothers construction license, constitutes infringement of U.S. Copyright law and can result in substantial punitive financial damages and penalties. 

With your purchase of a Badger Brothers Homes of Natural Distinction™, you also receive a copyright release for artwork. This gives you permission to use duplicates of the rendered elevations for your own use in sharing with friends, families, or to create promotional materials for resale or publicity purposes; however Badger Brothers’ name and copyright must appear on any such materials.
